Midland Information Resources Awarded TRUSTe Privacy Seal
Midland Information Resources, a division of the Elanders Group, today announced that it has achieved the TRUSTe Enterprise Privacy Certification for their Cloud Platforms. Midland Information Resources has been awarded the TRUSTe Privacy Seal, the industry standard in online privacy. The TRUSTe seal demonstrates privacy compliance and builds consumer trust.
TRUSTe, the leading data privacy management company, rigorously audits a company’s user privacy standards and regulations before it can qualify for the TRUSTe Privacy Seal. TRUSTe’s Privacy Certification Standards are based on a compilation of requirements and best practices defined by key regulatory bodies, industry groups, and recognized frameworks (e.g. US-EU/US-Swiss Safe Harbor).
By displaying the TRUSTe seal and adhering to EU Safe Harbor requirements Midland, and the Elanders Group, are showing their commitment to protecting consumer privacy and protecting the data of its users.
“The stringent set of policies and controls we have put in place to ensure our client’s data is safe is one more step in building a mutually trusting relationship,” said Mark Wiseley, IT Manager at Midland. “Every day we develop technical solutions to streamline our client’s business. This certification shows that we are going above and beyond the standards that many other companies use.”
As the number of digital properties continue to increase, rapidly building trust through privacy best practices is becoming more important every day. As 77% of people have moderated their online activity in the past 12 months and nearly 8 out of 10 people are not downloading apps due to trust concerns, business is being lost each and every day.
“By achieving TRUSTe Privacy Certification, Midland and the Elanders Group have taken their data privacy practices a step further,” said Chris Babel, CEO, TRUSTe. “This achievement shows that they are committed to building trust by adhering to industry standards and protecting the data of its users.”
