Midland Information Resources Named Best Workplace in the Americas
Midland Information Resources, a division of Elanders AB, has been awarded the designation Best Workplace in the Americas 2016 from the Printing Industries of America, the world’s largest graphic arts trade association.
Judging for the Best Workplace Award is extremely rigorous and honors those in the printing industry with superior work environment and exemplary human resource practices. “A designation is a great achievement and demonstrates the company’s efforts to create an outstanding workplace. Your work to create an enriching and beneficial environment for your employees has made you one of the best in the printing industry,” stated Michael Makin, President and CEO of Printing Industries of America.
A panel of highly respected HR professionals with decades of experience in the graphic arts industry reviewed the submissions. All of the winning companies actively show their employees that they care about their work environment, their personal goals and ambitions, as well as the needs of the company. Applicants were judged on eight criteria: Management Practices; Work Environment; Training and Development Opportunities; Financial Security; Workplace Health and Safety; Work-Life Balance; Recognition and Rewards; and Health and Wellness Programs.
“Being an award recipient for 16 years running shows our employees, customers, suppliers, business partners, and community our commitment to success, consistency in our values, and dedication to providing excellence,” remarked Jeffrey White, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Midland.
Midland’s success as a global supplier tracks back to our investment in building a healthy and prosperous work environment. We understand that a strong culture leads to happier employees who are more productive, work safely, and support their community.
